Safer Internet Day - 2017

02 February 2017

On Tuesday 7th February 2017, Year 6 took part in Safer Internet Day: an e-safety event that happens all around the world.

We start off Safer Internet Day 2017 by thinking about what our digital footprint is, positive and negative examples of them and what the impact of our digital footprint might be.

Next, we moved on to look at the privacy policy of a popular social network site, Instagram. We were shocked by what information the app keeps and can sell on. We thought carefully about how we need to think before we click.

Finally, we answered the following questions online using a website called Padlet about staying safe online: What have you learnt about digital footprints?     What have you learnt about privacy?       What tips do you have for other children?

Leave a comment on our blog about what you learnt.
