Community Room extension
This Spring there are plans to build a new extension onto the community room, to provide a crèche, toilet and separate entrance. We were very pleased to receive ‘Community Infrastructure Levy’ funding, via the council, to complete this work. While the building work is happening we won’t be able to run parent activities in there. Conversation Club and Netball are continuing as usual, but most other courses will have to stop until the building work is complete. This is a really exciting project and will create a much more useful community space in the future! Click here for the architect's drawing. We will keep you updated abut the work as it happens.
Come and find out how we manage behaviour in school and how we support children who sometimes struggle with behaviour. Monday 2nd March, 9.00.
COACHING FOR MUMS
Our next opportunity to see teaching and learning in action is on the morning of Thursday 19th March. More information will be in the newsletter on 6th March.
READING TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS
We have some funding from Sport England to run ladies netball. Currently this is on Monday afternoons from 1.30-3.00. All Hannah More mums are very welcome - including beginners. We can cover childcare costs as well. We also hope to run some cycling and outdoor yoga sessions soon - watch this space!
This fabulous Parent and Toddler group has moved to the Dings Park Safe house whilst building work is happening in our community room. It is on Monday mornings 9.00-11.00 during term-time. All parents with pre-schoolers are welcome to come along for messy play, songs, snacks and stories - for only £1 per family. No need to book - just turn up!
WE THE CURIOUS (At-Bristol) Hello! Witaj! Soo Dhowow!
During Spring and Summer we occasionally book the WHOLE of Easton swimming pool just for Hannah More family fun swimming! The first session of 2020 will be on 2nd May and tickets (£1 each!) will be on sale from the Monday before. Click here for the guidelines.
English conversation group / ESOL
Our friendly Conversation group is led by trained volunteers. It's a chance to speak English with other people. The group has been running since 2015! They meet every Wednesday during term-time from 9.00-10.00 in The Hub. Everyone is welcome - including learners from the local area - just drop in! You can find out more about other ESOL classes in Bristol by using this website https://leb.community/
Would your children like some half-term fun? There are two sessions at St Lukes, Tuesday and Friday. More information here.
We also have different workshops each term, run by different staff. We have run internet safety, cookery, times-tables, spelling, craft, sewing and more! Teachers also run workshops to help you to support your child with literacy and maths.
