Year 3 Week 5!

01 May 2020

Hello everyone!  Welcome to week 5 of your home learning.

You are all doing such a great job and all the adults at school are so proud of you!

BOOK UPDATE: We have now ordered you each a book from Turner and Townsend - we'll let you know when they arrive!

Birthdays

Musna is celebrating her birthday at the end of this week! We hope you have a good day - Happy Birthday!

Weekly Challenges

  • This week try to connect with some of your friends.  Maybe your adults have each other's phone numbers and you could do a facetime call? Or maybe you could write your friend a letter or draw them a picture ready to give to them when you next see them.
  • Choose something in your home to do a careful observational drawing of. Look really closely at what you actually see rather than guessing!
  • Create your own obstacle course at home.  Maybe you could include throwing socks into a box or throwing and catching a teddy!
  • Do Mr Rosetti's weekly PE lesson.  Find it here.

Daily Tasks

This week in maths you'll be carrying on with the theme of measurement, looking at perimeter, litres and millilitres.

For english this week we've got a fantasy theme for you, so be prepared to journey to mysterious and magical places!

Friday

Today it is a bank holiday.  This means that most people across the UK are not at school or work.

The reason for having a bank holiday today is that we are celebrated 75 years since VE day.

VE day is the day that the second world war ended.

To find out more, click here to read an article from Newsround or click here to watch a short video about it.
