Hello Year 4 home learners!

Well done for completing your learning at home.  We know it's not easy but the days will pass quickly if you are busy and you'll soon be back at school.

We'll see you soon!

Wednesday 2nd December

Maths

Watch this video about dividing by 10.  Remember to pause it and have a go at the questions. You may have done this in home learning last time but we are going to practice it again in class today so have another go.  It will also prepare you for tomorrow's maths.

Aut4.10.3 - Divide by 10 from White Rose Maths on Vimeo.

Then complete this worksheet.

English

Write paragraph 3 of your story.  Remember:

  • Include what the animals did to solve the problem
  • Include some speech if you haven't done any already
  • Write in the past tense.

Here is my example:

As soon as Mr Rabbit told Mrs Rabbit what he heard, they made a plan together. "Listen carefully, I know what we should do!" exclaimed Mr Rabbit, his heart pounding in his chest. The family of rabbits waited until the middle of the night before going out of their burrow.  They found the machinery and every single member of the family nibbled and munched every single wire.  They were sure the builders would not be able to start their work the next day. Exhausted, they went back to their burrow to get some rest.

Friday 4th December

Watch this video, remembering to pause to have a go at the questions.

Aut4.10.5 - Multiply by 1 and 0 from White Rose Maths on Vimeo.

Then complete this worksheet.

English

Create your own front cover and blurb to go with the story that you wrote this week.  Think carefully about the design of the front cover so it is eye catching.  When you write the blurb, make sure it is going to attract readers but not give away too much!

Golden Time!

Have a well earned break! Try to play a non-electronic game or do an activity with a family member.
