We will be calling all of the children who have decided to stay at home rather then come to school.
This week Ladybird and Caterpillar phone calls will continue to be on Wednesday between 11am and 4pm

You should have received a text if you need to collect your pack. If not, your pack should arrive soon. If you do not receive it by Wednesday, please call or email school. PE
Literacy Task
In school we have been learning the story: Lost and Found. Watch a version of the story here:
Talk to your adult about the story. Where is the story set? Tell your child it is set in Antarctica.
Activity:
To learn more about the Antarctica you can watch this video:
Now use what you have learned from the video to draw a picture of Antarctica. What animals would you see there?
Challenge:
Use your phonics to label the animals that you draw.
Math Task
This week we are learning about money and coins.
Sometimes you need to use coins to buy something from a shop. Ask your parents/carer if you can look at any coins they have.
Below are pictures of some of the coins you might use.
1p coin
2p coin.
This coin is the same as two 1p coins.
5p coin
This coin is the same as five 1p coins..
10p coin
This coin is the same as ten 1p coins.
Here are pictures of some other coins you might use: 20p , 50p and £1 (100p).
Challenge:
How many 1p coins are needed to be the same as each coin?

Watch the story again today.
Talk to your adult about what happened in the story. Who is the story about?
Activity:
Can you draw a picture of the 2 main characters?
Challenge:
Can you write a sentence to describe each character. For example you could write
The little boy has a hat.
The penguin is black and white.
Try and use your sounds and don’t worry if you don’t spell all of the words correctly. It is much better to use your sounds in Reception.
Maths Task
Before we go to a shop, it is good to know how much money we have.
You need to add the numbers on the coins together to know how much money you have and can spend.
In the following activity you need to add the number on the coins together to find out how much money is in each purse.
