Year 5 Owl go sailing again!
15 September 2015Year 5 Owl went sailing again today! This time they raced against each other using paddles rather than the sails. This was so that they could get used to the boat rocking and become more confident next week. They also learned what to do if boats capsize and some of our brave children practised this! There are more photos below of our exciting sailing lesson.
Year 5 Owl create leadership crowns
13 September 2015On Wednesday 9th September, Year 5 Owl Class learned about how Queen Elizabeth had become the longest reigning British Monarch - beating Queen Victoria's record of 63 years, 7 months and 2 days! We watched the video below about the changes that have happened in the UK since her coronation.

We then thought about the qualities of good leaders and used this to create our own 'leadership crowns'. Each table created their own adding skills such as being resilient, an ability to keep calm, to give clear instructions and to listen to everyone.
We are looking forward to wearing our leadership crowns during group work soon!
